About Us

LifeSpecs.com evolved from the dreams of a market research analyst, working for the #1 Indexed Life carrier.  During the course of handling daily tasks, it became apparent that there was a lack of sources for Indexed Life data.  There were a few insurance marketing organizations that housed product information, but it was difficult to find timely and accurate data for the product line.

Unlike the mature traditional and variable counterparts in the universal life market, Indexed Universal Life (IUL) had very few resources for product information.  It seemed that not many wanted to support the product line, assuming that it would remain a niche product.  This made regular tasks such as providing specifications on a new competitor’s product, or identifying the competition’s current rates cumbersome.  Searching for IUL product specifications usually meant pouring over policy filings found at the state insurance department.  If current rates were needed, running numerous kinds of illustration software was usually necessary.  Projects that were simple on fixed or variable products became time consuming on the indexed front.

And if an expert in competitive intelligence struggled with it, how did agents and licensed representatives handle it?  How did they decide which of these numerous products were best for their client?  There had to be a better way to analyze these products.  It was apparent that this was a void that needed to be filled, for the benefit of all persons interested in the Indexed Life market.

Years of establishing strong relationships with every carrier in the Indexed Life market enabled LifeSpecs’ founder and CEO to leave the home office behind, and make the dream a reality. After nearly a decade of working with indexed products, we are pleased to bring you the FIRST and LAST resource you will ever need for Indexed Life products.  We welcome your feedback, and hope that you too find this site invaluable!
